About me
Anne Blackwell is a Learning Consultant at Instructure, where she serves as a strategic partner to the New Mexico Public Education Department (NM PED). With over 20 years of classroom experience and a background as a Teacher of the Year, she brings a deep understanding of the intersection between pedagogy and educational technology to her work supporting districts statewide.
Throughout her career, Anne Blackwell has excelled as both a curriculum and technology coach, specializing in the practical application of digital tools to enhance student outcomes. In her current role, she focuses on the statewide implementation of Canvas, working directly with districts to ensure the platform is used effectively to improve instructional consistency and promote equity. She is a strong advocate for Universal Design for Learning (UDL), helping educators leverage technology to ensure accessibility and differentiation for all learners.
Anne holds degrees in K–12 Education and Instructional Technology from the University of South Carolina. Her work in New Mexico is centered on aligning Canvas with state initiatives, streamlining teacher planning, and facilitating the successful management of change to make High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) easily accessible to educators and students across the state.
