About me
Brittany Summerhays is a passionate educator, instructional designer, and educational leader with over a decade of experience supporting students and teachers in a variety of learning environments. For the past three years in New Mexico, she has served as a structured literacy coach, helping educators to strengthen evidence-based literacy instruction and ensuring all students succeed.
Throughout her career, Brittany Summerhays has taught across four different states and one foreign country, serving students from preschool through high school. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Central Florida and a Master’s in Instructional Design & Systems. She is currently pursuing certification as a dyslexia therapist, deepening her ability to support learners with diverse needs. Known for bringing creativity, flexibility, and heart to her work, she specializes in coaching teachers to translate research into practice and designing learning experiences that make classrooms more engaging, inclusive, and student-centered.
Originally from Florida, she is a military spouse and a mother of two girls. She currently resides and works in New Mexico, where she continues her mission of supporting educators and students through the Southwest Regional Education Cooperative.
