About me
Laura Sabido is the Director of Instruction for the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education (IMSE) and an elite Level 5 Master Instructor. A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, she has dedicated 23 years to the field of education, serving as a classroom teacher, school administrator, and national literacy consultant.
As a member of the September 2016 IMSE cohort, Laura Sabido has spent the last decade bringing the IMSE Structured Literacy™ approach to school districts across the United States. She is certified through the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) as a Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialist, a credential that reflects her deep expertise in the science of reading and specialized intervention. Her work focuses on empowering educators with the foundational knowledge and multi-sensory tools necessary to differentiate instruction effectively for every student, regardless of the classroom setting.
Laura holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from the University of Memphis and a Master of Education in Leadership from the University of Dayton. She remains a passionate advocate for systemic literacy reform, ensuring that teachers are equipped with research-aligned strategies to support all learners, including those with dyslexia and other reading challenges.
