Rianne Ventura is a lifelong learner and educator with 24 years of experience in New Mexico. A National Board Certified Teacher for 20 years, she is a recognized expert in Special Education and literacy, currently serving as the Structured Literacy Coordinator for the Central Region Educational Cooperative in Albuquerque, NM.
Throughout her career, Rianne Ventura has been a pioneer in creating inclusive and innovative learning environments. In 2002, she developed the first twice-exceptional middle school program in the United States, specifically designed to serve gifted and talented students on the autism spectrum. She previously served as a district special education liaison for Albuquerque Public Schools, where she coached and mentored thousands of educators in reading, writing, mathematics, and Universal Design for Learning (UDL). Her versatility as an educator is further highlighted by her past role as an Apple Vanguard Coach, where she supported classroom innovation through STEM education.
Rianne holds a Master of Arts in Special Education with an emphasis in Gifted Education and a dual Bachelor of Arts in General and Special Education from the University of New Mexico. She is a prolific local and national presenter, sharing her expertise in LETRS, evidence-based instructional practices, and equitable education to help teachers meet the needs of all learners.
