About me
Robbi Berry is an Education Administration Specialist with the New Mexico Public Education Department’s Instructional Material Bureau. A veteran educator with 27 years of classroom experience teaching 5th and 6th grade, she transitioned to state-level leadership after a highly decorated career in the classroom, where she was known for instilling a lifelong love of learning in her students.
As a military spouse, Robbi Berry has taught across four different states, a journey that provided her with a unique perspective on diverse instructional techniques and educational systems. This varied experience informs her current work in managing and vetting high-quality instructional materials for the state. Her academic credentials include two Master’s Degrees: one in Elementary Education Curriculum & Instruction and another in Teaching Mathematics, reflecting her deep pedagogical expertise.
Robbi’s commitment to excellence has been recognized through numerous prestigious awards. She has served as an NM PED Teacher Ambassador and received the NM PED Excellence in Teaching Award in 2018. Additionally, she was honored as the 2017 Crystal Apple Teacher of the Year, the 2019 Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Educator of the Year, and the 2022 Las Cruces Teacher of the Year. She was also a finalist for the 2022 New Mexico Teacher of the Year, cementing her reputation as one of the state's most impactful educational leaders.
