About me
Dr. Ali Wilson is a seasoned educational consultant with over 19 years of experience in K-12 literacy and special education. Actively engaged in academia, Dr. Wilson serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy and has been published in the Journal of Teacher Education. She is deeply committed to bridging theory with practice and is currently collaborating with SchoolKit on five statewide initiatives aimed at supporting aligned and rigorous high-quality instruction, targeted supports, and interventions at the secondary level.
In addition to her statewide projects, Dr. Wilson partners with district and school leaders to establish and refine systems for the effective planning and implementation of High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM). She also develops and leads comprehensive learning sequences for secondary educators and leaders, focusing on deepening their understanding of HQIM to better support diverse learners. Prior to her consultancy role, she served as an assistant professor and taught middle school.
Dr. Wilson holds a BA from Colgate University, an M.Ed. from the University of Washington, and an Ed.D. from Appalachian State University. She lives outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with her partner, three children, and their dogs.
