About me
Carla Ashley is a middle school art teacher with 34 years of experience in education, including extensive work teaching internationally. She is deeply passionate about integrating creativity with whole-child development, ensuring that the arts serve as a powerful vehicle for student growth.
Holding a Master’s degree in Art Education from AOEU, Carla Ashley has furthered her expertise with certifications in Social-Emotional Learning and yoga from Breathe For Change, as well as trauma-informed play from Playmakers University. These qualifications allow her to bring a mindful, inclusive, and trauma-sensitive approach to the classroom. Through her professional development workshops, she shares practical, research-based strategies that blend art, wellness, and trauma-informed practices to enhance both student outcomes and educator effectiveness.
Her career spans over three decades of dedication to the arts and mindful pedagogy, supporting a diverse range of learners in global and local settings.
