Margaret Martinez is a dedicated Structured Literacy Coach with the Southwest Regional Education Cooperative (SWREC), supporting educators across the state of New Mexico. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education with endorsements in Language Arts, Social Studies, TESOL, and Bilingual Education, and has received extensive training in structured literacy programs and Coaching, along with LETRS certifications in multiple evidence-based instructional approaches.
With experience teaching elementary through high school, Margaret has a deep understanding of classroom challenges and instructional strategies that truly make a difference for students. She is passionate about empowering teachers, providing hands-on coaching, modeling best practices, and delivering professional development sessions that help educators implement research-based approaches in literacy and language development.
Margaret’s approach is enthusiastic, practical, and student-centered, reflecting her belief that every teacher can thrive with the right support, and every student can succeed when instruction is clear, explicit, and engaging.
